Hope Park Customer Reviews
EXCELLENT Based on 517 reviews Posted on MJH119/09/2025Verified Quintessentially English Lovely little park in the sunBand standWell maintained lawnsCrazy golfLittle tea shopEven boules (ok that’s French I know :D)Harkens back to another eraPosted on Babika27/08/2025Verified Relax and play golf Spent a few happy hours here relaxing on a very hot August day. Laying on a rug under the shade of the trees, having a picnic, sunbathing, walking through the flower gardens and finally a relaxed round of pitch and putt 9 holes with the family. Hope Park is a great park, close to car parking and big enough for everyone to spread out even on a very busy Sunday without feeling squashed. Everything is really well maintained and a coffee/snack shop with loos is on site. Recommended if the retail crush of Keswick gets a bit too muchPosted on Travelingjohn12322/07/2025Verified Beautiful park. Beautiful park, near to the lake. There are a range of activities and a cafe here but I enjoyed just walking through the park on way from lake to town. The flower displays are excellent and feature many wild flowers and unusual species.Posted on MikeyG5326/06/2025Verified Lovely gardens, but weather not great Sadly the weather here in Keswick on this, the first of the “British summer months”, was not as good as it could have been, and certainly not as good as hoped. We wished that our visit had been during May when the weather had generally been far better. Our visit to Hope Park was limited to a short stroll … because of the dull weather, but at least the rain had abated. We were impressed by the resources and hard work that have been applied to plan, plant and maintain some beautiful floral arrangements. Our spirits were certainly lifted by the shapes and colours; nature’s displays are so enriching and a positive force for good feelings. The park was not terrifically busy, but there were young families ‘getting out there’ and enjoying the lovely fresh air that blows in from the nearby Derwentwater.Definitely worth a visit, and it’s free!Posted on John W30/04/2025Verified Early morning splendour If an early morning walk is in your plans, take a walk through Hope Park. The crew of gardeners and planners have really succeeded in providing a great experience for young and old. The flora and fauna is remarkable, and the crazy golf etc is very well priced. A bird hide is set up so that the public can view through a large screen with eye holes set at different levels.Posted on Herbie-Green11/11/2024Verified Great park with formal and fee areas and café Great park with formal and more free areas, and even rolls down to the shores of Derwentwater. Also has a great café, serving icre creams, cream teas, sandwiches and hot meal..Posted on sheepygold23/09/2024Verified A delightful park with plenty to do We used the carpark just across the road from here. This is a delightful park with views of the hills, neat flower beds, beautiful trees as well as crazy golf,a putting green, pitch and putt, a cafe.....There is plenty to do here.Posted on yvesu55510/09/2024Verified All you could want from a park! Perfect park. Beautiful flower beds, crazy golf, pitch and put, model boats, ice cream, bird hide, lots of seating and a great dog friendly cafe (check out the baked goods and fantastic milk shakes!)Find Max The Miracle Dog for a picture and follow his story on fb.Posted on realdeal_929/08/2024Verified Lovely park Lovely park lovely setting and gardens looked good but some attention needed in places ,plenty to see and do weather hit n miss so cafe busy and amenities .Posted on angieloubell26/08/2024Verified Cafe and crazy golf need work - the rest is beautiful Lovely park - beautifully maintained overall. But the Crazy Golf is very outdated, dull to play and looks scruffy now, and the ice creams are so ridiculously expensive for an incredibly small portion - it was no more than a heaped dessert spoon in a tub for £3. Crazy money for that amount.
