Where better to play those traditional park games than in Keswick?
With a backdrop of Derwentwater and surrounding fells, playing crazy golf does not get better than this.

Hope Park Games offer fun for all the family.

Crazy Golf
Have fun trying to steer your golf ball up and over the Bowder Stone, through Newlands Church or round the stones at Castlerigg Stone Circle. We enjoy introducing some of the lakeland attractions that our visitors will be familar with into Hope Park to make our games truly interesting and unique.

Golf ballsPitch and Putt and the Putting Green
Use a 9 iron and a putter to make strokes of short and low speed to skilfully play our acclaimed our 9 hole Pitch and Putt golf course in this delightful park setting, or tackle our smoothly playable 18 hole Putting Green. Hotly contested competitions are regularly enjoyed by our visitors.

Petanque
Stand in the circle in the Boules pit and throw the hollow steel ball as close as possible to the Jack (or Cochonnet which literally means piglet) with your feet together and you'll be playing Petanque. Invented in Provence in 1901, Pentanque means 'feet together on the ground' and this, together with a toss of the ball rather than a roll, is what makes Petanque different from Boules.

But our newest game in the park, the remote controlled boats, have taken this to the highest level. The lake is a mini-replica of Derwentwater, complete with two islands and jetties. The launches are scaled down versions of the real boats sailing on the lake just two minutes away. Children of all ages will enjoy taking the wheel of their very own launch.

Hire an electric Twizy for a new fun way to explore the Lake District. We have both Yan and Tyan (numbers One and Two) for hire at Hope Park. This is a new way to see the Lake District and so much fun. Contact Cafe Hope with your driving licence details. Costs start from £10 for 1 hour. More information here.

Refreshments are available at the kiosks; hot and cold drinks, snacks and confectionery, ice creams (even for your dog) refreshments as you would expect from dog-friendly town.

Seating at picnic tables is also available nearby for your enjoyment.
